“Although I have never lived in France I have been trying to learn how to speak the language for 30 yrs, I have tried various private lessons, pod casts, reading etc etc. I have only got so far. That was until my daughter who is also trying to speak French introduced me to Joseph Brabet. I was immediately impressed by Joseph as he spotted my deficiencies immediately and started on a program to correct them. I compare notes with my daughter who is at a different level and find that his teaching is indeed flexible and focused on the individual and not a formula. Both of us improve weekly. On my part the accent is a problem which was never picked up before, the teacher seemed happy that I could speak a sentence no matter how bizarre it sounded. Now its different and a great deal of effort is made to make me sound more French.
The lessons are for one hour via the internet and are compact, rewarding and full of learning points. If there is one french lesson that you want to chose, this is the one.”

Joe is a brilliant French teacher and a great guy to meet with, each lesson. Although he can keep up with advanced learners that practice lots, he’s still got the patience to deal with me slowly learning at my own pace. I’ve tried other French teachers in the past, both in Australia and France – there’s no comparison to Joe. I began learning French with Joe in face-to-face classes at his place in Melbourne, now I’m living in France, we’ve picked up the lessons again via Skype and it’s actually even better, as we can chat via the text messenger to show the phonetics while I speak out loud and butcher the beautiful language – we also end up with a digital/soft copy of the notes and conversation each week. I couldn’t recommend Joe higher, so if you’re considering learning French, don’t hesitate and even start by a single lesson with Joe as a trial – you can’t go wrong!
